Disney Travel PlannerHello, My name is Kevin. I live in Buffalo, NY with my wife and daughter. My wife and I love to travel, but we seem to go back to Disney year after year. Even if we say we're not going to do a Disney trip any time soon, we seem to find a way to sneak in a quick trip. We love to watch YouTube videos about Disney from our favorite content creators. We recently took our daughter on her first trip to Disney, when she was 8 months old. We already have a Disney cruise planned for March with a few days in the park tacked on. I have so many great memories that were made at Disney. The best was taking my daughter on her first trip. The smile on her face when she saw Mickey and Donald up close were priceless.
I love how when we go to Disney we get the feeling of being at home. We know that we will be back soon, so we do not have to rush around the parks. One of the greatest things to do in the parks is to grab a coffee or a beer, sit back and relax. We enjoy spending time back at the resorts to enjoy the pool, grab some amazing food, or to explore everything the resorts have to offer.
Why do I keep going back to Disney?
My family and I keep going back to Disney because of the experience, the Cast Members, the feeling of being at home, and of course the family memories. Your trip experience begins with the planning phase. There can be plenty of excitement found while researching and planning your perfect Disney vacation. From finding the best hotel that fits into a theme that you enjoy to deciding what restaurants you want to eat at. Planning your perfect trip includes what parks to do and in what order would be best. After all of the hard work and planning you finally arrive at your resort and you are overwhelmed with a feeling of being at home (it might be the welcome mat, but you can be the judge). Cast Members are excited to welcome you home.
Cast Members are a huge piece of why I return to Disney time and time again. Every Cast Member I’ve had the pleasure of conversing with has been happy to be there. When I tell family and friends about “being home” I always tell them about the conversation I had with a janitor on my first adult trip with my now wife. I hadn’t been to Disney in a long time and didn’t have the best memories from the trip I had taken with my family growing up, so I was hesitant that Disney would be for me. While my wife was on a big kid ride, I stayed back and ended up chatting with a janitor. The gentleman had the biggest smile on his face the entire time and was genuinely excited to be there and make magic for guests. I told my wife, if this guy can have a smile on his face while picking up garbage this place must really be amazing.
The memories started when my wife and I took our first trip together when we were just boyfriend/girlfriend. We weren’t planning a trip until she found out Wishes was going to be retired. When I said let's go, she wasn’t sure I was serious, but the next thing we knew a trip was planned and the rest is history. On our first trip we stayed at Animal Kingdom lodge in a Savannah view room. On our next trip we stayed in both the garden view rooms at the Contemporary and then a preferred room at All Star Movies. On that same trip I was able to help get some magic made and we got engaged at California Grill at the Contemporary. Of course we went back for our honeymoon and stayed in the villas at the Beach Club. We unknowingly spent our final trip just the two of us at The Grand Floridian, this was our top bucket list resort. Our most recent trip we got to take our daughter on her first trip to Disney while staying at The Wilderness Lodge.
