Disney Wish: Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship and more from D23 Expo

This weekend at the 2019 D23 Expo, Disney released the long-awaited name of their 5th and newest Cruise ship. It will be called the Disney Wish! Disney plans 3 new cruise ships for 2021-2023 but this first one will be completed by December 2021 with its maiden voyage planned for January 2022. No further information hs been made available yet but we will be watching very closely. I plan to be on its maiden voyage, you should come with us! Lighthouse Point

Disney Cruise Line has added a new Port of Call with the purchase of the breathtaking island of Eleuthera at a place called Lighthouse Point. Joe Rohde, the designer of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney’s Aulani Resort and Spa has been charged with the design. Joe Rohde hopes to bring Bahamian culture and local artists with some Disney magic to create a Disney tropical destination. Working closely with locals to preserve and protect the environment, construction is hopeful to start in 2020 with completion in late 2022 or 2023.
