Disney World’s Newest Attractions: Summer 2017

No matter how many times you visit Disney World there is always a reason to back. New attractions are added as the demand for them rises so here are some of Disney World’s newest attractions for 2017 and 2018.

The World of Avatar

Animal Kingdom now includes the new and highly anticipated The World of Avatar, set to open in May 2017 and pay homage to James Cameron box office hit. Arriving in this new world, guests will see floating mountains and bio luminescent plants. Its two attractions will be the secret Na’vi River and the Avatar Flight of Passage. The Na’vi River takes guests through a rain forest full of the bio luminescent plants seen in the movie. The Avatar Flight of Passage launches guests on a flying Banshee to travel over Pandora therefore this is sure to be a thrilling experience.

Happily Ever After Nighttime Spectacular

Happily Ever After Nighttime Spectacular is a brand new show at Magic Kingdom. It takes place over Cinderella’s Castle and includes both storytelling and projection mapping. Pyrotechnics are also part of the show, which features many of Disney’s most famous characters. The show includes hand drawn animations depicting Tiana, Ursula and Aladdin. There is also an original underscore specifically for this show so you definitely wont want to miss it.

Star Wars Guided Tour

Starting in January of 2018 the park will feature the Star Wars Guided Tour at Hollywood Studios. The seven-hour tour VIP package will include priority boarding on the new Star Tours-The Adventure Continues. There is special seating for guests training at the Jed Training Trails of the Temple, which only accepts children between the ages of four and 12.

With these exciting new attractions, now is the time to start planning a visit to Disney World. The parks offer a unique experience that past visitors may never have dreamed of.
