English Tea Garden Tour – Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

You have probably passed this garden a million times, you may have taken pictures with Tinkerbell’s Lantern or played DuckTales World Showcase Adventure but have you ever taken time to look at the English Garden? During Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival here is your chance to really enjoy it. The English Garden, gets an added bonus from Twinings Tea Company during the festival. These oversized tea cup are filled with beautiful plants that help make delicious tea flavors that Twinings uses in their famous tea flavors.

During the festival, there is a special Twinings Tea Tour of the gardens. (You must register for the Tea Tour at The Tea Cottage). There are three tour times, 1:00pm, 3:00pm, and 5:00pm. (Additional tour time may be added during peak season).

Your Tour starts right outside the Tea Cottage with a brief history of the Twinings Tea Company. Did you know that Twinings Tea Company started off as a Coffee Company? The original shop is still operating in London for your shopping needs.

The next stop on your tour is to the entrance of the garden where you start with Earl Gray Black tea. There are 12 tea cups in the garden and you stop at all of them.

First the tour guide starts with black teas, then green teas, then herbal teas and finish with specialty teas. You also learn the difference in how they process tea leaves to make the different kinds of tea. The tour guide is very knowledgeable about the tea flavors as well as adding her own personal quips and comments about the teas.

Now that your taste buds are getting excited from hearing about all the different kinds and flavors the tour ends with a little packed of tea bags for you to try at home or at your hotel.
