Walt Disney World just announced that their Express Transportation Service Discontinued August 23. This is the extra service started in December of 2016 that went between parks so guests only had to do security once. Disney says that the option is being terminated because “more guests preferred other forms of transportation.” Our own survey seemed to give the same results. One guest even said “Oh. I didn’t even know that was a new service.”
Regular bus systems, boats, ferries, monorails will not be impacted by this change. They will continue to offer transportation service to parks and resorts. In fact I imagine that regular buses will run on a more rapid schedule since drivers can now be reassigned. In addition you can use Disney’s newest “Minnie Van” service to hire a Lyft.
