More Than Just A Room… Disney’s Riviera Resort

When Walt Disney needed to get away and relax from the stress of running Walt Disney Studios he did so by cruising the French Riviera. Disney’s Riviera Resort is a combination of sophistication and enchantment, which is inspired by his time there. You cannot help but unwind and relax when using the amenities at Disney’s Riviera Resort.

This U-Shaped resort creates a cove of entertainment for all ages. The first thing you will notice when entering this area is the Activity Lawn. Try your hand at the jumbo chessboard, play corn hole, jumbo connect four and roll the bocce ball down the court. There area will provide plenty of entertainment when you are waiting for your food in one of the nearby restaurants, break from swimming or just any time.

The Activity Lawn is nestled between the Beau Soleil Pool and the Riviera Pool. The Beau Soleil Pool is a more leisure pool with hot tub. Creating a peaceful place to bask in the sun and take a refreshing dip. The Riviera Pool is like one big pool party. With a twisty tower slide, Cast Member led pool games, hot tub and entrance to S’il Vous Play splash pad area and plenty of swimming area. While enjoying the Riviera pool take a gelato break at the gelato cart located next to the pool. No matter what age you are you will sure to get swept up in the beauty and fun of the Riviera Pool area.

Behind the Riviera Pool area is the Movie Lawn and Fire Pit. During the day, these areas are perfect for sitting back and enjoy the view of the water and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort or look up to see the different Skyliner cars go by. At night, these areas come alive. Come see new and classic Disney movies in the open night air with Movie Under the Stars. Come roast a marshmallow at the Fire Pit or make s’mores (s’more packs are available for an additional charge) Check the Recreation Activities sheet for times and movie selections.

There is plenty of fun to be had inside Disney’s Riviera Resort. The eventi room is located on the first floor on the East side of the building. Coloring, painting, games, or unwind by watching a Disney movie in the air condition is available all day. On the first floor west side of the building is the Athletique Fitness Center. The Athleique Fitness Center has several fitness equipment available for you to use from weight lifting to stretching and jogging. There is also running trail that loops around the Disney’s Riviera and Disney’s Caribbean Beach resorts.

Disney’s Riviera Resort has so much to offer from themed pools and lawn games to night-time activities and several things to do in-between. Don’t forget to do a little shopping at the La Boutique located in the hotel lobby. Also in the lobby, is an interactive game table for little ones to play while you are shopping or checking in.
