Did you know that you can get your hair cut in the Magic Kingdom? Harmony Barbershop is right on the corner of Main Street USA. They are a full-service barber shop equipped with their very own barber pole!
So I managed to make it to adulthood without cutting a single hair. No, that’s not true at all but it was my first haircut at Disney World and that is all that mattered. It is a fun-filled time. The expert cast members have all kinds of tricks to keep little ones, and big ones, entertained. I got to play with a spinning Sorcerer Mickey toy during my trim. They wanted to make sure I wasn’t fussing. When I was done I was even offered a sprinkling of pixie dust! Maybe next time I will add that little bit of sparkle. The PhotoPass photographer captured the entire experience. I have wonderful photos like this one to treasure forever!
Reservations are highly recommended as there are only three chairs. Plan it right and have the cast members contact the photo pass photographers to archive this popular milestone.
I started out saying this was my first Disney haircut because they don’t require proof or anything. Anyone can get the ‘First Haircut Package’. The package includes a certificate, First Haircut Mickey Mouse ears, a lock of your hair and of course the haircut itself. Surprisingly, the first haircut package’ is comparable to a haircut in many other places. However, once you find Harmony, everywhere else just falls a little flat.
