Here is the official word from Disney.
Walt Disney World will be eliminating designated smoking areas inside their theme parks and will only be permitting it outside of park entrances starting May 1, the company announced Thursday on their website.
“Beginning May 1 2019, smoking areas will no longer be present inside Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme parks, water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex or Downtown Disney in California,” the announcement read in part
Smoking areas will still be available at Disney Resort hotels for those with room or dining reservations, the company added. Disney says the move has been in the works for awhile. “Disney has been moving to phase out smoking for a number of years, first with a move to designated smoking area, followed by a reduction in those areas.”
