Rainforest Café is one of the many dining options offered by the Landry’s Company. Landry’s Company has four restaurants at Walt Disney World; Rainforest Café located at Disney Springs and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, T-Rex located at Disney Springs and Yak-Yeti located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. What makes these restaurants stand out is the atmosphere that it creates. When you are looking to be fully immerged in a fun dining experience then a Landry’s restaurant is the place to be.
To the Right of the Rainforest Café check in is the entrance the Lava Lounge. If you are looking for a place to relax, have a drink and bite to eat this is the place. This outside patio dining has a full bar and offers views of the water. Just beware, roughly every half hour the volcano can get a little feisty. Just to add some Rainforest flair to your meal.
Directly behind the Rainforest Café Check in is the Rainforest Bar. Pull up an animal leg stool and enjoy one of the many signature cocktails.
Once your table is ready and your “Safari Party” will be called to meet your guide at the towering blue fish tanks. Your journey into the Rainforest Café is about to begin.
The Rainforest Café is all about the experience. While you are dining, make sure you look around to see what amazing animals you are sitting near. The animals may be in front of, behind, and above you so make sure you take a good look around, the scenery is what you are here for. Some animals only come to life during the Rain Storm (that takes place every half hour) while others take the spotlight throughout your meal. Rainforest Café is very family friendly and encourages people to walk around see the aquarium tanks and the animatronic animals while they are dining.
As we have said before, the Rainforest Café is all about the experience not the food. The menu is full of fun themed names such as Beef Lava Nachos, Jungle Turkey Wrap, and Anaconda Pasta. Overall, the dishes have simple flavors and are unmemorable. You will not leave hungry as the portions are on the larger side. I would recommend that you finish-up your dining experience with the Sparking Volcano dessert. It will definitely light up the kids eyes with four large pieces of brownies, ice cream and “Volcano” sparks arrive at your table.
If you are looking for a place to eat that the whole family can enjoy this is it. Rainforest café creates an atmosphere where kids can have fun and get excited about the animals around them. Adults can enjoy a nice cocktail and not have to worry that their kids are being a little on the squirmy side. The Rainforest Café is a popular restaurant at both its Disney Springs and Disney’s Animals Kingdom so reservations are highly recommended.
