Have you ever wondered what it would be like to swim in cool waters of the French Riviera, enjoy the breathing taking views and warm sandy beaches? Well, the pools at Disney’s Riviera Resort are nothing like that, however if you are looking for relaxation, fun, and maybe some gelato you are in the right place. Disney’s Riviera Resort has two unique pool areas, hot tubs and a splash pad perfect for every age.

All the recreation at Disney’s Riviera Resort is centrally located. The Beau Soleil Pool is a leisure pool that is set just to the right of the Activity Lawn. Beau Soleil Pool is the perfect spot for quite sun bathing and to take a cool dip. There is also a hot tub to loosen up from a long day at the parks or just to relax your muscles.

The Riviera Pool is the larger of the two pools and it is located right behind the Activity Lawn. The Riviera Pool is the place to be if you are looking for a good time. Throughout the day Disney Cast Members will lead in some poolside party games such as Disney Trivia and Musical Stars. Any time is a perfect time to go down the twisty turny Slide. Walk up to the top of tower and slide on down into the Riviera Pool. Personally, I call this slide the “Luca Slide” since it reminds me of the tower Alberto and Luca build their Vespa in during Disney Pixar Luca movie. Lets talk about the most important part of the Riviera Pool, the Gelato Cart. Open afternoons and evenings next to the zero- entry area of Riviera Pool, is the Gelato Cart, they offer several flavors in kids, 1 scoop or 2 scoop sizes. This creamy treat is definitely worth the stop. Grab you gelato and relax in the numerous eating areas available around the Riviera pool, from lounge chairs, cabana double chairs and umbrella tables.

Within the Riviera Pool area is the entrance to S’il Vous Play area. Inspired by French architecture and Disney classic flair from Disney’s Fantasia. Around the sides of the S’il Vous Play area are statues of Madame Upanova Ostrich dancing in the “rain” provided by Hyacinth Hippo as she fills up a huge bowl with water. Watch out because Hyacinth Hippo is too busy dancing that she may accidently overflow her bowl and you will get wet. There are several water features and two slides to create hours of fun. S’ill Vous Play area is designed for children to have some freedom to splash, play, slide and get wet.

Kids are not the only ones who get to have fun at the Riviera Pool, within the pool area is a hot tub. Adults make sure you take time out, maybe before some gelato, for a nice soak.

Although the pools at Disney’s Riviera Resort is nothing like being at the French Riviera it is still a relaxing and great place to have fun. From the “Luca” Tower Slide, Hyacinth Hippo’s water faux pas, relaxing hot tubs and pools Disney’s Riviera Resort has all of your resort pool needs.
